The "Thor" burner

A patented wok burner with stepless control: the flame holds steady through multiple segments rather than jumping between settings, which is what lets one burner sear and then simmer without being relit.

X-Max square pan support

A square frame rather than a star: it converges the heat back toward the pan, and it holds a wok steady enough that a hard stir-fry does not walk it off the burner.

One integrated top sheet

The top is a single piece of 0.8 mm stainless steel with no seam around the burners, so what spills wipes off rather than settling into a joint.

A child lock in the valve

The knob has to be pressed down and turned counter-clockwise to light, and there is a micro-switch behind it. A curious hand cannot start the gas by turning a knob.

A Spanish flame failure device

If the flame goes out, because a pan has boiled over or a draught has taken it, the device senses it and stops the gas. It is the original Spanish part rather than a copy of it.

What cut-out does the C720S need?

708 mm wide by 388 mm deep, with radiused corners. The hob itself is 780 x 450 mm, so it covers a 708 mm opening with the overhang a three-burner hob needs.

What is the "Thor" burner?

VATTI's patented high-performance wok burner, with stepless control rather than fixed steps: the flame holds through multiple segments, so one burner takes a sear down to a simmer without being relit. It is the 5.2 kW burner on this hob.

Is it safe around children?

The valve has an internal child lock and micro-switches: the knob must be pressed down and turned counter-clockwise before gas flows, which a small hand cannot do by accident. Each burner also carries an original Spanish flame failure device that stops the gas if the flame goes out.
