Detail

The V917 in carbon grey pulling smoke off a hob

2,250 m³/h of turbo suction

Hurricane suction, in VATTI's own words: enough to stop smoke standing in the kitchen while several stir-fry dishes go at once.

Airflow drawn through the V917 body and out of the duct

900 Pa of static pressure

The figure that matters when the ducting is complicated: no backflow into the kitchen and no smoke standing in the run, even at the hour when every flat on the riser is cooking.

A hand raised to the V917 while a wok is going

Wave, do not print

Gesture control from a distance, so greasy fingertips never touch the panel: left to right turns it on and steps the air volume, right to left switches it off.

The V917 impeller glowing during a heat clean

Heat auto-clean

No water cup to fill: the cavity is heated in two high-frequency steps until the oil dissolves, and the fan throws it clear.

The seventeen-minute V917 cleaning cycle drawn as a labelled wheel

Seventeen minutes, seven stages

The wheel is the cycle and its labels are the stages: three minutes of first heating, two to peel the oil off, thirty seconds of fan to throw it clear, five minutes of second heating, thirty seconds more of fan, five minutes of third heating for the stubborn film, and a minute drying the inside.

The V917 front panel hinged open, guide plate showing

The guide plate comes off

A hinged front panel that opens with one hand, and a smoke guide plate behind it that lifts out. The part that gets dirtiest is the part you can actually reach.

Questions about the V917

How high should the V917 be installed above the hob?
300 to 380 mm from the hob surface to the bottom of the hood, which puts the bottom 1,150 to 1,230 mm off the floor over a standard 850 mm cabinet. It is meant to hang low: the lower inlet works by being close to the pan.
What ducting does the V917 need?
A 7 inch run, with the wall or ceiling hole 2,120 to 2,200 mm off the floor, back to back or to the side.
What is the difference between the Carbon Grey and the White V917?
The colour, and nothing else. Both are 2,250 m³/h against 900 Pa at 48 dB with the same body, the same controls and the same cleaning cycle. The White is the one shown in the Batik Malaysia settings.
Is 900 Pa enough for a condominium?
For most, yes: 900 Pa sits in the middle of the VATTI range and handles a normal shared riser. If yours is long or heavily bent, the V997 holds 1,200 Pa and the V929 1,300 Pa.
How is the V917 cleaned?
Heat auto-clean: a seventeen-minute cycle in seven stages that heats the cavity until the oil dissolves and lets the fan throw it clear, with no water cup to fill or empty. The front panel is hinged so the smoke guide plate lifts out for washing, and oil separation is 92%.
What warranty does the V917 carry?
Two years on the hood and ten years on the motor, for the original buyer, bought from an authorised dealer. Register it at VATTI eWarranty at the time of purchase.
How much is the V917 and where can I buy it?
VATTI Malaysia does not sell online. Find your nearest authorised dealer in the dealer directory, or send us your kitchen layout and we will point you at the one that stocks it.
