Micro-flame combustion

Nearly ten thousand precision fire holes across the plate instead of a ring of jets: 3.5 kW that reaches 1,000°C, with the heat spread evenly rather than concentrated in a circle.

The Olympic plate

The plate is angled at 13.6 degrees so the air outlet is uniform across it, which is what stops a micro-flame burner developing quiet spots. It is the burner VATTI built for the Beijing Olympic torch.

It was a torch first

The Beijing Olympic torch had to stay lit in 65 km/h wind and 55 mm/hour rain. This is the same combustion idea, put under a wok.

Steam on the left, stir-fry on the right

The two sides are partitioned rather than identical: one burner is set up to hold a steady steam or simmer, the other to take a wok hard. Most cooking is both at once.

3D oxygen input

Twelve intake slots spiralling the top air, a skeletonizer guiding the central air and a wide pilot tube siphoning the bottom air, which is how a plate of tiny holes gets enough oxygen to burn clean.

Safety, and the glass

On an accidental shutdown the safety device closes the gas valve and cuts the supply. The top is high-quality tempered glass, rated for high temperature and impact.
